Sarna Lapine - Director

Sarna Lapine is a freelance director based in New York. Her upcoming projects in 2020 include: a new adaptation of Dracula by Kate Hamill (Classic Stage Company); the West Coast premiere of Theresa Rebeck’s Bernhardt/Hamlet (the Geffen); a West End run of her critically acclaimed Broadway revival, Sunday in the Park with George, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford; and Puccini’s Madama Butterfly (Boston Lyric Opera).

National Tours: Lincoln Center Theater’s South Pacific. As Associate Director, The National Theatre’s War Horse (North America & Japan Tour). Broadway associate/assistant credits: Lincoln Center Theater's productions of The Light in the Piazza; the Tony-award winning revival of South Pacific; Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown; and Clifford Odets’ Awake and Sing!. She holds an MFA from Columbia University.
